Balboa Island Cigar Co. is a proudly women-owned business rooted in resilience, passion, and the spirit of creativity. Our journey began with Sheryl, the founder, who turned a personal challenge into the foundation for something extraordinary.

While caring for her mother during her battle with cancer, Sheryl sought a way to mask the unpleasant odors associated with her mother's condition. The solution came in the form of a carefully crafted candle, infused with the rich, comforting scent of cigars—something Sheryl had always loved. With the creation of "The Lady on the Horse," a photo of Sheryl on a horse smoking a cigar sparked the curiosity of her customers. They began asking where they could find the cigars, and Sheryl, never one to shy away from a challenge, knew she had to create something even more special.

Determined to offer something truly unique, Sheryl set off on a journey to Nicaragua to master the art of cigar blending. There, she worked with expert artisans to create the Balboa Island Reserve, a signature line of premium cigars that would rival the finest in the world. Our collection features four box-pressed Robusto cigars, each offering a distinct profile that ranges from mellow to full-bodied, and pairs perfectly with your favorite libation.
